These weeks are designed for campers in 3rd-6th grades.

John 1:23

Camp Speaker: Joshua Steele

Camp Speaker: Jim Schneider

Joshua Steele is the Associate Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church. He and his wife have several children, and have worked in various aspects of youth and church ministry over the years. Alongside his associate pastor role, Pastor Josh currently helps lead the worship team and serves as a counseling pastor.
Uncle Jim and Aunt Faith are long-time camper favorites for speakers here at Trail Ridge. Aunt Faith begins chapel sessions with Bible quizzes, object lessons, and missionary stories, and Uncle Jim leads the main portion of chapel with a Bible Lesson. For many years Jim and his wife hosted Kids Talk, a weekly radio program for children.

New! Tracks

New this year, Skill Time has been revamped! Instead of signing up for these on Monday morning during check-in, camper's will select their preferred "Track" right on their registration form. Tracks will meet for about one hour each morning, and each day, campers will learn a new concept, skill, craft, etc. that coincides with their Track's overall theme. Parents and Guardians, please talk with your camper about each Track option; there are six to choose from. The Track they choose will be the Track they participate in all week, with each one appealing to both boys and girls alike. Click HERE to watch our quick YouTube explanation video.
Tournament of Camp-ions: Enjoy employing strategy and newly learned skills as you compete in daily tournaments of some favorite camp activities.

All-Sports: Calling all athletes! Campers will enjoy warm ups, stretching, skill learning, and everyone's favorite-- playing the game.  Each day will be a different sport.

Trail Blazers: Nature enthusiasts will love getting out and exploring the trails of Trail Ridge. Not only will we be hiking, but also learning about the nature that surrounds us.

Crafts: Explore your crafty side and complete a few projects to take home.

Wilderness: Campers in this track will be spending their time learning some outdoor survival basics and competing in bushcraft challenges.

Top Shot: Learn shooting safety and shooting skill, and compete in shooting challenges in a wide variety of age-appropriate shooting sports.

Keys For Camps

In Spring of 2023 we partnered with a ministry that helps campers continue habits of personal Bible study started at camp, by providing them with materials they can use to do so once they've gone home. Each camper that attends Trail Ridge this summer will receive a 3-month booklet, and complete the first week here at camp. Once this book runs out, they have the option to continue to receive these daily devotionals on a quarterly basis.
Receiving Keys for Camps is easy! You can opt in when you register for summer camp, and the free, quarterly booklets will be sent to the address listed on the registration form. Many campers took advantage of this program last year, and one family let us know that they had started doing the devotionals together at the dinner table. Chips and Cereal

Help us make meals at the Dining Hall even more fun! For breakfast, we're planning to serve a cereal bar with as many kinds of cereal as possible- Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran, you name it. Additionally, we'd like to do something similar with bags of chips at each lunch. We are requesting that each camper bring one of those items for our kitchen! (Girls- box of cereal. Boys- bag of chips.) Please note that boxes of cereal and bags of chips must be in their original sealed packaging, within the expiration date.
