2020 Young Adults Retreat

September 18-20, 2020

Join us for this unique retreat just for young adults ages 18-35.  Come to connect, to fellowship and to have a great weekend getaway.  Singles and Married Couples are welcome to attend. The retreat will begin with supper starting at 7:00 PM on Friday and will conclude after breakfast and chapel on Sunday morning.  The weekend will be filled with some hilarious activities, solid Bible preaching, and some time of just good fun and fellowship!

Guest Speaker: Pastor Dean Kurtz

Pastor Dean was raised in a pastor's home and was saved in evangelistic meetings in his father's church at the age of 14.  He was part of a musical outreach team and, through Bible studies with that group, grew to love the Word of God and developed a passion for music ministry.  Dean married his high school sweetheart, Brenda, in 1979 and earned Bachelors degrees in Bible and Music Education from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College.  He went on to earn a Doctorate of Ministry from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary.

He serves as a pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, WI, working with adult ministries, outreach, and worship ministries.  He started Calvary's NewFocus ministry in 2008 which seeks to reach and disciple those struggling with addictions.

For this retreat, Pastor Dean will be answering the question, "Knowing what I know now, what would my young adult self do to gain a clearer 2020 vision?", seeking to guide young adults looking to chart their life's course by God's compass.

What's this retreat all about?

This retreat is all about fellowship, spiritual growth and connecting with other like-minded believers your age.  Of course, this will be paired with great meals and tons of fun!  We understand the need to build meaningful relationships with our peers and bear each others' burdens; and that's why we're offering this retreat.

We hope you'll leave the retreat refreshed and ready to serve the Lord in whatever He has called you to do!
Activities for the weekend will depend on the current weather, so be sure to check the forecast for Hillsboro, WI before you come.
If weather seems favorable, come prepared for some good fun outdoors.
