Why "Rooted"?

We'd love you to join us for this year's Rooted Marriage Retreat! In today’s busy world, couples need an opportunity to step away from distractions and focus on strengthening their relationship. Whether you’re newlyweds or have been married for decades, our goal is to provide a space for rest, renewal, and meaningful conversations. The schedule will be unhurried, with lots of time to connect. Included are chapel sessions, husbands and wives breakout sessions, games and competition, and some special meals.
We believe marriages thrive when they are rooted—rooted in Christ and rooted in biblical love. Our prayer is that you'll leave spiritual refreshed and reminded of the joys of marriage.

Arrival and Departure

Plan to arrive between 4:30-6:00 pm on Friday evening, November 13th.
Departure will be after a final chapel session, Sunday morning around 11:00 am.

Reduced Retreat Cost - $135

Speaker: Jeff Newman

Jeff and Sherry Newman have been married for over 40 years and have two grown children that are serving the Lord with their own families. During his seminary years, God directed Jeff into teaching at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary. He faithfully ministered there for over 20 years. Both Jeff and Sherry were interested in missions--an interest instilled by their parents that later developed into a love for missionaries. That love expressed itself in participating in their training and in serving with them in various short-term capacities both domestic and global.
God has now led them to Safe Haven for Missionary Soul Care where they serve together as a couple. Jeff and Sherry desire to continue to draw near to God—representing Him well—and, in doing so, draw nearer to each other. They seek to be instruments of blessing and encouragement to missionaries around the world in their walks with the Lord.

Lodging

Couples will be staying in private rooms in Evergreen Lodge and our Treehouses. Bedding and towels are provided. Lodging has shared common areas with bathroom and shower facilities located down the hall.
