Join our TEAM!

This year's team...
Each year we plan on hiring twelve Cabin Leaders (six male and six female) as well as six Operations Staff. Please pray about joining our summer staff! Working at camp is a lot of work, but we do pay all our summer staff $400/week (Returning staff are paid $450/week). Summer staff also have the option to raise additional support from their church, family, and friends. This experience will surely impact your life and open your eyes to camp ministry. Our summers are very labor-intensive, but nothing beats the reward of sharing the Gospel with each of our campers!
A few years ago we compiled our Summer Staff's thoughts and highlights from the summer they had just completed. Give it a watch!
Week By Week Summer Schedule
May 31-June 13, Staff Training
All staff arrive the evening of Sunday, May 31. We'll have supper together and get settled into the groove of Trail Ridge. Over the next two weeks, the staff will get to know each other and get acquainted with camp facilities, policies, and procedures. Cabin Leaders will be trained on how to lead a group of campers, learn what to expect during a typical week of camp, and learn how to most effectively serve our campers. Cabin Leaders will also move into their cabins and get them set up for the next several weeks. Operations Staff will join in on general training sessions, and get familiarized with their department and the Crew Leader they'll be working under. At the end of this time, we'll all be making the final preparations for Junior High Camp 1.
June 15-20, Junior High Camp 1
Cabin Leaders will spend this week counseling a cabin of campers ages 6th-9th grade.
Operations Staff will work with their assigned work crew and fill whatever needs are present for the week.

Summer Staff Info
How old do I have to be?
All summer staff are required to be at least 18 years old. If you are not 18 yet, consider volunteering for a week or more this summer to see what it's all about.
What's a "Cabin Leader"?
The main role of Cabin Leaders (formerly known as counselors) is to spend time with campers assigned to their care, leading and guiding them throughout the week. They also help lead group activities and structured skill times.
I've heard there's more to being a Cabin Leader than just counseling.
What's that about?
Trail Ridge is a small family environment. When you aren't working as a cabin leader, you might find yourself helping with day to day camp operations including maintenance, hospitality, or in the kitchen. Being willing to work anywhere you are needed at camp is a great way to be a team player and help with the day to day needs of camp. It's not uncommon to see our Camp Director helping in the kitchen, or to see our Maintenance Supervisor helping run an activity. We're a part of the team here! If you're not willing to scrub a toilet, cut some grass, or wash some dishes, this probably isn't the right job for you.
