Week By Week Summer Schedule
May 23-27 Basic Training
All staff will arrive the evening of Sunday, May 23rd. This week we’ll be getting staff members familiar with one another, the layout of camp, policies and procedures, and what day to day life at camp looks like.
May 28-31 Guest Group
Over Memorial Day weekend, we host a church group. All camp staff will be filling in wherever needed on a camp operations crew.
June 1-2 Days Off
We’ll be getting off around noon on the 31st, then taking some time to rest June 1st-2nd. Staff are welcome to stay at camp or take a quick visit home. Be back at camp by 9 PM on June 2nd.
June 3-4 Camp Restoration
We’ll spend these days cleaning up and resetting camp.
June 7-11 Staff Training
During this portion of training, staff will get some more insight on their specific roles and the expectations set for each of them. At the end of the week, we’ll move into summer lodging and make sure camp is ready to welcome campers the following Monday.
June 14-19, Junior High Camp 1 (6th-9th Grade)
Cabin Leaders lead and counsel campers. Operations Staff will fill whatever needs are present for the week.
June 21-26, Teen Camp (10th-12th Grade)
Cabin Leaders lead and counsel campers. Operations Staff will fill whatever needs are present for the week.
June 28-30, Family Camp
Family Camp will give everyone the opportunity to help facilitate activities around camp, pitch in where needed, and make connections with families.
July 1-2, Renew and Restore
Staff will spend this time refreshing the facilities and preparing for the final three weeks of work.
July 5-10, Junior High Camp 2 (6th-9th Grade)
Cabin Leaders lead and counsel campers. Operations Staff will fill whatever needs are present for the week.
July 12-17, Kids Kamp 1 (3rd-5th Grade)
Cabin Leaders lead and counsel campers. Operations Staff will fill whatever needs are present for the week.
July 19-24, Kids Kamp 2 (3rd-5th Grade)
Cabin Leaders lead and counsel campers. Operations Staff will fill whatever needs are present for the week.

Summer Staff Info
How old do I have to be?
All summer staff are required to be at least 18 years old. If you are not 18 yet, consider volunteering for a week or more this summer to see what it's all about.
What's a "Cabin Leader"?
The main role of Cabin Leaders (formerly known as counselors) is to spend time with campers assigned to their care, leading and guiding them throughout the week. They also help lead group activities and structured skill times.
I've heard there's more to being a Cabin Leader than just counseling.
What's that about?
Trail Ridge is a small family environment. When you aren't working as a cabin leader, you might find yourself helping with day to day camp operations including maintenance, hospitality, or in the kitchen. Being willing to work anywhere you are needed at camp is a great way to be a team player and help with the day to day needs of camp. It's not uncommon to see our Camp Director helping in the kitchen, or to see our Maintenance Supervisor helping run an activity. We're a part of the team here! If you're not willing to scrub a toilet, cut some grass, or wash some dishes, this probably isn't the right job for you.
